Chandigarh/New Delhi : In an effort to check the unbridled proliferation of arms in the hands of criminals and gangsters, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday directed the police to review arms and ammunition licences issued in the state.

Phagwara : Local bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday ordered a vigilance probe into the ‘ irregularities’ committed by the municipal corporation here into development projects worth Rs 61 crore, including the allocation of 60 commercial booths at throwaway prices and bungling in the water supply and sewerage works.
