London: An Indian-origin woman charged with the murder of her three-year-old son has made a second private appearance in a Scottish court.

Rosdeep Kular, 33, appeared in a private hearing on Tuesday at the Edinburgh Sheriff’s Court under her married name Rosdeep Adekoya. She is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice in connection with the death of Mikaeel Kular.

She again made no plea or declaration at the “full committal hearing” and was remanded in custody awaiting trial.

No further court dates have yet been fixed.

Rosdeep made her first appearance at the Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week.

Mikaeel disappeared from his home on January 16 following which Police Scotland issued his picture and appealed to the public for help in finding him.

On January 18, police said the body of the little boy was discovered in Fife, near Edinburgh.

The boy’s mother was formally arrested and charged in connection with his death later that day.
