Security of Sikhs in Pakistan a major concern

Amritsar : Expressing deep concern over the increasing incident of attacks on Sikhs in Pakistan, the SGPC has written a letter to the Indian Foreign minister Sushma Sawaraj and Pakistan Ambassador in India for the security of the Sikh community in Pakistan. SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar said that the attacks on the Sikhs was a serious matter and the central government should take it seriously without any delay. He said that due to the recent attacks on the Sikhs in Pakistan feared the Sikh community and they feel insecure there. He said that the strength of the Sikhs in Pakistan was too less so the Pakistani miscreants deliberately target them.
He appealed to the Indian government to put pressure on the Pakistan government for arrest the accused who were responsible for the killing of Sikhs in the past. Makkar said that in the recent incidents of attacks on Sikhs, three Sikhs have been killed by the miscreants but shockingly despite taking action against the accused, the Pakistan government kept mum over the killing.
He said that it seemed that the law and order in Pakistan was was worsening day by day. He said that it was the duty of Pakistan government to decrease the mentality of the Pakistan’s citizen to hate against the Sikhs. He said that the Pakistan government should arrest the accused but unfortunately they were roaming freely under the nose of the Pakistan government. He said tat the Pakistan government was not serious about the security of the life and property of the Sikhs in Pakistan.
