MLA verbal spat with SDM : Cong leaders on hunger strike

Fatehgarh Sahib: Congress leaders who are demanding immediate transfer of Fatehgarh Sahib SDM Pooja Syal Grewal since September 16 by observing protest and burning effigies of the SDM on Monday started hunger strike. The Congress activists led by District Congress Committee, Fatehgarh Sahib president Harinder Singh Bhambri, former councillor Gulshal Rai Bobby, Rupinder Singh Happy, Pargat Singh Bara, Kamlesh Kumar, Sonu Bither started hunger strike in front of District Administrative Complex, Fatehgarh Sahib. While addressing dharna Bhambri said five Congress activists would observe hunger strike daily till the transfer of the SDM. Nabha MLA Sadhu Singh Dharamsot alleged that the SDM did not follow the protocol due to which Congress activists are agitated. It may be mentioned here that Fatehgarh Sahib SDM had alleged that Fatehgarh Sahib Congress MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra had used derogatory remarks against her during a recent held meeting in municipal council Sirhind premises.
