PHILLAUR: Interacting with residents of Dallewal village Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), general secretary Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary charged on Tuesday that eligible people were not given benefit of developmental schemes, because they were Congress supporters.
People have to face the ire of the SAD/BJP leaders for not being supporters of the alliance, alleged Chaudhary. “None of them could secure the blue cards, old age pension, Shagun scheme, said Chaudhary.
“Their families face wrath of the jathedars who keep entangling them in false cases,” he said.
The people who don’t support the alliance have no toilets, drainage and are forced to live life in virtual hell, said Chaudhary.
The Congress leader also targeted the government and said that Rajinder Singh a former Congress Sarpanch was implicated in a false case and Gurdyal Singh a former government high school principal was also harassed with a false case as these people refused to join the government. Chaudhary assured all possible help after the formation of Capt Amarinder Singhled Congress government in 2017.
“Officers who have played to the tunes of Akali Dal will face heat once Congress forms government in Punjab,” added Chaudhary.
