Badals’ bus crushes man to death

Hoshiarpur : A bus of a private company owned by the ruling Badals allegedly crushed a man to death. The Mukerian police have registered a case against the driver.
Akshay Kumar, a resident of Mukerian, told the police that he and his father Suresh Kumar were going to a marriage at Jahidpur Awana village on their scooter. Near a temple on the Hajipur road, the driver of a bus of Azad Transport, which was allegedly being driven at a high speed tried to overtake another vehicle while they were coming from the opposite side. Seeing the speeding bus in front of them, his father tried to stop the scooter.
However, he fell on the road and the bus ran over him. The bus driver fled from the spot. The Azad Transport company had been taken over by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s family.
