Bittu slams Akali-BJP govt on development issue

Ludhiana :Putting the election campaigning in top gear, Congress candidate from Ludhiana Ravneet Bittu visited several villages in Jagraon constituency on Saturday. While addressing the gathering, Bittu slams Akali-BJP government for fooling people on the development issue. Bittu also hit out at government on drug issue.

While complaining in the Jagraon constituency, Bittu said that Punjab government is asking the people to vote on development issue, but in last five years, there is no development in Punjab. “The Punjab government is fooling people on development issue and gaining publicity by laying just the foundation stones of various projects” said Bittu.

Addressing a gathering, Bittu said, the Centre government allocated huge funds to Punjab and the Punjab government only takes credit of those projects. Hitting out at Punjab government on the issue of drugs, Bittu said, “The trade of drugs has increased during the regime of Akali Dal government and what more can be expected, when their ministers and senior leaders starting getting allegedly involved in the drug racket.

Meanwhile, Bittu appealed the residents of Jagraon constituency to vote for the Congress party during this Lok Sabha election and promised the overall development of the constituency.
