‘Udta Punjab’ : Amarinder faces heat on home turf

Patiala : Punjab Congress Chief, Capt Amarinder Singh support to much hyped movie ‘Udta Punjab’ and show uncut movie at Majitha to expose Bikramjeet Singh Majithia on June 17 is going to witness a fallout at his own home turf. Fundamentalist Hindu organisation “ Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Suraska Samiti” came down heavily against the movie and announced not to allow its screening in Patiala.

A decision to oppose the screening of ‘Udta Punjab’ by Samiti was announced vice president Rajesh Kehar on Wednesday. Kehar stated that this decision has been taken as this movie is trying to present Punjab in a very poor light and also focuses on drugs to defame the state. Kehar further said that dialogues used in movie are derogatory and are used to defame youth of Punjab and will not allow anyone to watch the movie.
