Jalandhar : Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday took to social media to take on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after CAG pointed out that Kejriwal misused public money for publicity.
Capt Amarinder tweeted on Thursday asking Kejriwal to respond to the CAG report on misusing public money for publicity outside the national capital. The tweet came at a juncture when AAP was embroiled in a series of controversies for splurging a huge amount of money for publicity in Delhi.
The report by CAG claimed that of the Rs 33.4 crore that the Kejriwal government spent on a single advertisement campaign, 85 per cent was spent outside Delhi. According to the CAG report, Rs 25 crore incurred on advertisement and publicity campaign was not in conformity with the generally accepted principles of financial propriety as laid down by the Supreme Court.
