Holding his first sangat darshan to listen to grievances of NRIs after taking over as minister for NRI affairs, Capt Balbir Singh Bath said on Wednesday that NRIs could register their complaints on the telephone too.
Accompanied by Vikas Partap Singh, commissioner, NRIs affairs, Bath said the Punjab government had dedicated a helpline number for NRIs, 0172-2600705, where they could register their complaints.
Directing officials to redress the grievances of NRIs at the earliest, Bath said the Punjab government had instructed officials to dispose of the complaints of NRIs within seven to 15 days.
