NRI robbed of over `20 lakh

Morinda : The robbers have stuck again in Morinda on Sunday, taking away a jewllery and cash worth over Rs 20 lakh from a house of an NRI. The victim has been identified as Jasbir Singh, an NRI from USA staying at Darpan Enclave. Jasbir told to police that on Sunday, he had gone to attend a function at one of his friends house at Pehowa. He came to know about the theft when he came back in the evening.

“Around 600 grams of gold, $5,000 and Rs one lakh were stolen from the house,” he said.

Superintendent of Police, Darshan Singh Mann said that a case has been registered and investigation is on in the matter. He said that they are not denying of the involvement of someone known in the matter.
