Peshawar : A Sikh businessman was today killed and two others injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on them in this northwestern city of Pakistan, prompting protests and road blockade from the members of the minority community.

The incident occurred at Shadab market in the Hashtnagri area of Peshawar where the victims associated with cosmetic business were ambushed, SP City Mustafa Tanvir told PTI.

Unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate fire killing Jagmot Singh and injuring Param Singh and Manmit Singh - residents of Mohallah Jogan Shah, Dabgari bazaar, in the city, he said, adding the victims were believed to be relatives.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
