OTTAWA: An Indo-Canadian Sikh provincial minister’s brother-inlaw was found murdered in his own home in Canada’s Kelowna city. Police described the incident as a ‘targeted homicide’.

LONDON: Indian and other nonEU students at British colleges (not universities) will be banned from working during the period of their courses from August as part of a new crackdown on student visa fraud. A Home Office spokesperson told HT on Monday that working rights of non-EU students at further education colleges were being removed to ensure that they did not use them as a “back door to the country’s job market”.

DHARAMSALA: India’s top ranked paragliding pilot, Gurpreet Dhindsa, who resides in Himachal Pradesh, secured the fourth position in the recently held pre-European and & Hungarian Championship at Kruševo, Macedonia. The championship, a traditional competition in Macedonia that was also the pre event for the 2016 European Championship, was held from June 29 to July 4.
