Daily hearing in Faridkot abduction case begins

With the framing of charges against all 20 accused, District and Session Judge Archna Puri today started day-to-day proceedings in the Faridkot abduction case.The case may be decided within 20 days.
The hearing in this case will be held everyday, except Sunday and court holidays, till February 5. Leaving no scope for unwarranted adjournments during the trial, the Judge asked the public prosecutor to ensure that the witnesses were present during the hearing.
Key accused Nishan Singh will also face legal proceedings in a case registered on June 27 last year on similar charges. The police has presented challans in both the cases.
The accused were produced before the court under tight security.
