JALANDHAR: Sonal Aggarwal (25) hanged herself to death after her would be in-laws broke the matrimonial prospects. Rakesh Aggarwal, father of the deceased girl, a wholesale broom trader at the Mandi Road said that the marriage of Sonali, M.Sc (Maths), B.Ed was fixed for Sept. 11 with a boy, resident of Phillaur. But the parents of the boy declined the matrimonial relation which put not only Sonali but the whole family under deep shock.
Sonali hanged herself with an iron rod at the terrace of the house to death under depression. Aggarwal said that he accompanied his wife to Rajnagar so that she could tie Rakhi to her brother while son Gaurav had gone to the shop when the unfateful end of his daughter came in the guise of suicide.
