Last of robbers’ gang nabbed

Patiala : The Banur police today claimed to have arrested the last member of a notorious robbers’ gang, which had fired on the police on August 19, in Sangrur. A .32 bore revolver and four live cartridges were recovered from the accused identified as Ramandeep.

While Ramandeep was nabbed today, the other members of the gang, Harpreet Singh alias Tusa, Lovleen Singh alias Ghuggi and Kulwinder Singh were held on August 19.

Bikrajit Singh Brar, Station House Officer (SHO), Banur, said there were 18 cases of attempt to murder, extortion, robbery and theft registered against the gang at various police stations.
