Gaushala Mahasangh to gherao CM’s house

Chandigarh : Alleging that the promises made by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal towards safeguarding and conserving cattle have proven to be hallow, Punjab Gaushala Mahasangh has announced that it would gherao his residence here on December 29.
Sangh chairman Krishnanand said that the representatives of 430 gaushalas (cow shelter houses) and cow lovers would gherao the residence of Badal for allegedly failing to take measures for protection of cows in the state.
Alleging that the promises made by the Punjab chief minister in the past towards safeguarding and conserving the cattle in the state have proven to be hollow, he said that in last three years none of the promises have been fulfilled.
The Sangh’s demands include closing down of slaughter houses, getting grazing land encroachment free, government donations to cattle pounds, arrangements of water and power in cattle pounds.
