Muktsar: A 36-year-old unemployed lineman was booked for making an attempt to immolate himself after he set himself on fire at the entrance of the SAD rally on Malout road on The incident occurred when Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was enlisting the pro-employees initiatives taken by the state.
The agitator, later identified as Hitesh Kumar, had first attempted to go inside the rally venue but failed he then poured Petrol on his clothes and tried to immolate. Swung into action noticing the occurrence, the cops present there doused the flames and took him to the local civil hospital, where nobody from the Unemployed Linesmen Union was allowed to go. His party fellows informed that earlier too Hitesh had served jail for 12 times for his agitations.
