BJP leader’s brother let off in scam, Congress protests

Ferozepur : Congress workers, led by district congress committee (DCC) president Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa, today held a protest outside the Ferozepur City Police Station. They accused a BJP leader of being involved in the sand mining racket.
The Congress leaders alleged the police was not taking action against senior BJP leader Jugraj Katora’s brother, who was held with two trolleys filled with illegally mined sand in Rakhri village today.
Dhindsa alleged some Congress workers had even taken photographs of the accused, Balraj, mining sand illegally.
“The police have released Balraj without framing any charges against him. We demand that he be included in the FIR,” alleged Dhindsa. Katora rubbished the allegations.
