Youth Congress to protest over land ordinance outside Parliament

JALANDHAR: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) will hold a protest outside Parliament on March 16 against the Narendra Modi-led government’s decision on the land acquisition bill.
Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) president Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary said this along with other senior party leaders on Sunday. He was flanked by Naseem Khan, Jayendra Ramola and Anand Dahiya. He said a large number of PYC members will participate in the protest against the land acquisition bill due to its anti-farmer face as the Centre had removed the consent clause provided to farmers and landowners in the earlier law.
Party leader Nassem Khan said the PYC will also hold its elections soon as its membership drive will conclude on March 3.
Khan said the membership drive concludes, elections in urban area and villages will be organised.
