‘Everyone dissatisfied with SAD-BJP govt’

GURDASPUR: Commenting on the incident of farmers controlling over the proposed PAU’s Kisan Mela in Gurdaspur on Wednesday, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) general secretary Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa said not only farmers but also every other section of society was dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Akali-BJP government.
Bajwa said the Badal government had fulfilled none of its promises made to the people during the last Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections. He said farmers had suffered the most under AkaliBJP regime for they did not get genuine prices for their produce for the last about eight years.
Bajwa said sub-standard seed and spurious pesticides were supplied to the cotton growers of Malwa belt as a result of which the whitefly attack completely destroyed the crop. Bajwa alleged that a large scale corruption done by politicians was responsible for this loss. He demanded a probe into the matter by a high court sitting judge.
