Cong MLA stopped from installing gym equipment

Ferozepur : Panic marked Congress MLA Parminder Singh Pinki’s visit to the Municipal Park on Sunday for the installation of gym apparatus without permission.
The moment this came to the notice of the president, Municipal Council it was stopped. Keeping in view the seriousness of the matter, DSP Vibhore Sharma called SDM Sundeep Singh Garha and a close-door meeting was held between the MLA, SDM and MC chief.
The MLA said a number of projects had been approved for the city but the installation of gym apparatus was stopped by the MC chief. Pinki even went to meet national executive member Kamal Sharma, but could not do so as he was out of station.
On the other hand, Ashwani Grover, MC president, said, “Whatever is to be installed in the park, it has to be done after permission of the house. So far as installation of the gym equipment by Pinki is concerned, he has neither informed the council, nor obtained any permission. The
permission letter being shown relates to Guru Nanak College Park.”
However, later the MLA called a press conference in a hurry and he produced a letter dated May 4 written by DC for changing the place of installation of gym to
Municipal Council, Ferozepur, instead of Guru Nanak College, Ferozepur Cantt, along with other documents, including the letter of MP Ambika Soni which was written to Kamal Sharma in this context.
