Chandigarh : In a significant development, the Election Commission (EC) has sought from the Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) a recorded CD of the meeting in Jalandhar on Thursday wherein Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had reportedly asked industrialists to fund SAD-BJP candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu's campaign.

Chandigarh : A 1982-batch IPS officer Suresh Arora was on Thursday evening appointed the Director General of Police (DGP) of Punjab. He will replace the incumbent DGP Sumedh Singh Saini, who has proceeded on leave from April 4 till May 20.
