The blame game between Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh continued on Saturday with the latter ridiculing the Chief Minister for celebrating the victory of Haryana Janhit Congress candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi, who had defeated Ajay Chautala of the INLD.

He reminded Badal that he must not forget that his party, the SAD, was the alliance partner of the INLD in Haryana, which got defeated.

Reacting to the CM’s gloating over Bishnoi’s victory in the Hisar byelection, Amarinder remarked, “Probably, in overexcitement about the defeat of the Congress candidate in Hisar, Badal seems to have forgotten that his party has an alliance with the INLD, which also got defeated in these elections and hence he had nothing to celebrate about.”

The PPCC president told Badal to remember that Punjab was not Hisar. “The Hisar chapter will prove to be too short-lived for Badal to console him for long as his party will be defeated in Punjab in the coming Assembly elections,” he remarked, while adding that “people have made up their mind to throw them out.”
