Bhatia succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning. He was struggling for life in hospital near Delhi after his Innova car met an accident last week during dense fog which had terribly reduced visibility on roads. He was going to Delhi from Amritsar to meet Rahul Gandhi. There were differences between Bhatia and Jasbir Singh Dimpa as he believed that a criminal case against him was registered against him by one of the close associates of Dimpa. Captain Amarinder and other senior leaders condoled the untimely and sad demise of Harpal Bhatia.
