Bathinda : State Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal and Congress Lok Sabha candidate Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday addressed massive public meetings at Lal Singh Basti,Model town phase 1, Paras Ram Nagar and Mehna Chowk in the city. Both were accompanied by Haryana Congress leader Ashok Tanwar. Manpreet said, “The NYAY scheme of the Congress will support people belonging to financially weaker sections of society. Under the scheme, five crore families will get monetary support of Rs 72,000 yearly. The government will transfer the amount in the account of a woman member of the family.” While talking about the policies of Congress government, the Finance Minister said, “The government was committed to provide development and basic facilities to every section of the society in Punjab.” To fulfill the commitments made with the people of Punjab, the financial condition of our state is being strengthened under the leadership of CM Captain Amarinder Singh, he added. Manpreet appealed to the people to vote in favour of Congress candidate Raja Warring, as he is committed to politics and will raise the issues of Bathinda and Punjab in Lok Sabha. In his address, Raja Warring said that this time the defeat of Akali-BJP candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal is sure. During the last 10 years, the development of Bathinda constituency was less but the growth of Sukhbir Singh Badal’s family was more. He urged the people to vote in favor of Congress.
