Chandigarh : As suspense continues over Navjot Singh Sidhu’s next course of action, state Congress leaders are hoping that the cricket-turned-politician would join his new assignment tomorrow.

Monday, being the first working day after reshuffling took place, ministers are expected to take charge of their new departments.

Though there are reports that Sidhu is camping in Delhi to seek audience with Congress president Rahul Gandhi, his associates deny it. An AICC leader said the party was clueless as no word had come from the “senior” leaders, who were kept in the loop by Sidhu. Otherwise active on social media, Sidhu has not posted anything for days now.

Things are expected to be clear on Monday, as Rahul returns from Wayanad (Kerela), where he is on a thanksgiving tour.
