Washington: Indian-American student Neha Gupta has won the 2014 International Children’s Peace Prize Award for her exceptional work to raise money for underprivileged children around the world. Netherlands King Willem-Alexander, former archbishop and Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai presented Gupta with her award during a ceremony at The Hague, Netherlands Tuesday.

This gift is of immense historical significance, which was presented to the Officers’ Mess 14 (King George’s Own) Sikhs in 1919. All the Sikh Regiment battalions have a replica of this trophy in bronze.

New York, November 17 : Didar Bains, a farmer known as the "Peach King of California", was honoured by California Governor Jerry Brown for his service to society, the media reported.
