LONDON: India and other non-European Union citizens will need to pay a ‘health surcharge’ from 6 April at the time of applying for UK visas to cover part of the cost of any medical treatment they may need while in the UK, official sources said on Friday.
‘Mini-lungs’ created by scientists in Cambridge lab

LONDON: Scientists at the University of Cambridge have successfully created ‘mini-lungs’ using stem cells derived from skin cells of patients with cystic fibrosis, and have shown that these can be used to test potential new drugs for this debilitating lung disease.
