LUDHIANA: A resident of Kheri village in the district, wishing to settle abroad, was cheated of Rs 29 lakh by an NRI woman, who allegedly tied the knot with him despite being already married twice, and two others. The Sadar police have booked Canadian national Anita Kumari and her father Tarsem Lal for cheating Paramjit Singh, who paid the money with the hope of being taken abroad.
