NEW DELHI: In a move that may have implications for Punjab politics, the Delhi government’s transport department has seized and later released eight luxury buses of IndoCanadian Transport service, a company in which Punjab’s deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal reportedly has a stake.

While the rider died, his wife is battling for life at a hospital. FEROZEPUR: A private bus owned by a transport company of Gidderbaha Akali leader Hardeep Singh ‘Dimpy’ Dhillon crushed a motorcycle borne couple in Zira, a sub division of Ferozepur, on Monday. The husband, Avtar Singh died on the spot while his wife was critical. The driver abandoned the bus and fled from the spot.
