PATIALA: A bus of Orbit Aviation, belonging to deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal, injured a 50-year-old pedestrian near Nandpur Keson village on Patiala-Sirhind road on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Nirmal Singh, 50, a resident of Faganmajra village in Patiala.

Jalandhar: Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh will flag off a padyatra of the party’s state youth wing on January 4 to press for naming Chandigarh International Airport after freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. The padyatra from Khatkar Kallan to Mohali International Airport, to be flagged off by state Congress chief Amarinder Singh, is being held to press for naming Chandigarh/Mohali airport after Shaheed Bhagat Singh, a party spokesperson said here on Tuesday.
