Jassi (Jasbir) Singh Khangura is the former MLA for Qila Raipur which included his native village, Latala. Boundary delimitation meant that Qila Raipur no longer exists and unfortunately Jassi was unsuccessful in a bid for Halqa Dakha in the 2012 Assembly elections. Jassi, continues his political career with a mission to bring genuine change and improvement to Punjab, at the grass roots level.
