Indian-origin scholar Vasant Kumar and his research mates at the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy, University of Cambridge, have developed a unique method for recycling lead acid batteries which has the potential to transform the battery recycling industry.
According to a statement released by the university, the method developed by the team uses less energy, produces fewer toxic emissions and is more cost-effective than current methods.
Kumar will be in Hyderabad this week to present the technology at the International Secondary Lead Conference.
