Anandpur Sahib : As the Canadian Prime Minister, Stephan Harper, is all set visit the holy city on November 7, Anandpur Sahib seemed to have turned into a cantonment with deployment of over 2,000 cops as security measures. The higher security officers can be seen conducting meetings ahead of the visit.

It is to mention here that the Prime Minister Harper is coming to Anandpur.

Sahib to pay his obeisance at sacred Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib and will also visit world famous Virasat-E-Khalsa.

According to information, Harper will visit the city along with his wife and other members of the delegation. Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will also be present on the occasion.

On Monday, deputy commissioner Pardeep Aggarwal conducted a meeting with officers of various departments and directed them to do their duty seriously during the visit.

On Monday, IG Police PS Gill, DIG RK Jaiswal, SSP Ropar Inder Mohan Singh, DSP Sant Singh Dhaliwal and Inspector Sukhwinder Singh reviewed all the arrangements to assure the proper security.

While talking to Daily Post SGPC President Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar said that due to his health issues, he would not be able welcome the Prime Minister.
