VANCOUVER: Five members of a Punjabi NRI family, including two children, were killed in a horrific car crash near Surrey on Sunday.
The deceased belonged to the family of Jolly Sachdeva who runs a restaurant in Surrey and hails from Rampura Phul town of Punjab’s Bathinda district. The dead included his wife Reena, son Aanish (5), daughter Jessica (3), sister Neelam and mother Vidya (68). The mishap occurred when the family was returning from a religious ceremony in Surrey and a vehicle jumped the red light, colliding with their car.
