CHANDIGARH: All India Sikh Students Federation president Karnail Singh Peermohammad while condemning rapper Hard Kaur’s behavior at JW Marriot said the matter will be strictly dealt and a case will be registered against her for hurting Sikh sentiments.He appealed the Sikh clergy to take strict actions against such people who commit sacrilege and demanded ban on such programmes.

The 33-year-old rapper Hard Kaur, now based in UK, originally known as Taran Kaur Dhillon from Kanpur, was in Chandigarh for a show in JW Marriot where she allegedly disregarded the feelings of Sikh community.Hard Kaur started her performance around 11 pm, although the rapper seemed in an inebriated condition.

After performing on her first song Kaur questioned one of the Sikh sitting in the audience whether he followed her lyrics. When inquired, the Sikh affirmed he likes ‘Singh is King’ style songs more, to which Kaur abused him and called names.

Meanwhile, Kaur’s abuses continued on the stage while performing. Also during performance Hard Kaur pinpointed a Sikh from the audience and made a hostility and objectionable remark on his flowing beard.Kaur crossed her line when she compared JW Marriot’s Sikh gatekeeper with the Sikh tenth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji.
