BADHANI (PATHANKOT) : Dalhousie Public School (DPS), Badhani, celebrated its Founder’s Day on Monday. Like every year, a colourful event marked the day.
The school management announced a tie-up in the aviation sector. It has tied up with Island Flying School located within Porter Airport, Toronto, in Canada for training the school’s students in flying.
P S Grewal, Director, DPS, Badhani, said, “A trainee who wants to join the programme needs to be 16 years or above in age. The arrangement is such that in a span of two months, he or she will be taught sports flying and will be given a recreational pilot’s licence.”
The facility can be availed not just by the school students, but by people from outside the school too.
He said the school will soon establish a 9-hole residential golf academy, work on which will start in the next two weeks.
The chief guest at the Founder’s Day was Maj Gen Balbir Singh, GOC, 29 Infantry Division. A
fete was also organised on the sprawling school campus.
