Showcasing the rich heritage and history of Gujarat and Rajasthan, My Vibrant India festival is presenting Bollywood beauties, singers, Rajasthani folk dance, Gujarat Garba and Raas and the World's Largest Flag of India that stretches 153 feet by 102 feet, as certified by Limca Book of Record, India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records to be showcased at the majestic Sears Center Arena on July 16th and 17th.

My Vibrant India Festival will feature the world's largest Indian flag, says Monty Saiyed, the event organizer. For him, the flag represents the message of peace and unity as worshippers of all faiths and beliefs live peacefully throughout the world.

"After the Vibrant India event, the flag will be flown back to Navsari in Gujarat and will be stored at Dargha of Pir Noor Satgur and will be used in other events throughout different states of Indian. It took 15 days for seven Porbandar, Gujarat tailors to sew this cotton flag," says, Mr. Saiyed.

The 2 day event which is a combination of a Desi Bazaar and Bridal Expo, will present the multiple Bridal Fashion Shows on both days, live concert with singers Manhar Udhas, Bhumi Trivedi, Naushad Kawa, Apurva, Aavez Darbar and a Dandiya night with Preeti & Pinky, Gujarati play, Gandhi before Gandhi (Jain legend Virchand Gandhi) as well as meet-and-greet with Bollywood star, Vivek Oberoi and Dino Moreo. Admission is $5 per day and parking is free.

William McLeod, Hoffman Estates Mayor, says, "Flag will be attention grabber and is also spreading Ghandhiji's peace message in the world."

According to Mr. Saiyed, this is a unique way to deliver the message of Sufism and Ghandhiji peace mission to promote peace, harmony and unity among Hindus and Muslims around the world.
