London : An Indian-origin father, Darshan Singh Chhokar (76), has died in the UK awaiting justice for his son for over 17 years. His son Surjit Singh Chhokar (32) was stabbed to death in one of Scotland's most high profile murder cases, a media report said.

LONDON: Sikhs in England will donate blood to support the campaign of Sikh activist Surat Singh Khalsa in India to protest “the mistreatment of the community’s political prisoners.” Till November 1, Sikhs across the UK will visit blood-donation clinics.

Washington: Two Indian-origin cousins,convicted for conspiring to commit murder of the wife of one of them in 2013, have been sentenced to 15 years each in prison by a US court, media reports said. Pratikkumar Patel and his cousin Kalpesh Patel of Gallatin city in Tennessee, received the sentence of 15 years each from Circuit Court Judge for trying to arrange the murder of Krupaben Patel, the wife of Prattikumar Patel, wgnsradio.com reported. They were arrested in September 2013.
