Chandigarh : The Congress-led Punjab government is all set to repatriate all government employees to their parents departments who were shifted to other departments on deputation during the SAD-BJP government.

The move is a part of Captain Amarinder Singh’s government that has initiated to review all decisions taken by its predecessor in last six months of rule.

The personnel department of the government is likely to issues a circular on this issue shortly.

The government will also sought details of the employees on deputation in various departments. It is also learnt that the government is also examine the cases that how inter-departmental deputation of employees was justified.

Sources disclosed that after findings certain discrepancies and undue favour to certain employees during the Akali government, the government has asked the officials concerned to prepare lists of such employees who were shifted to others departments on deputation in last six months of the SAD-BJP government.

A senior official disclosed that the government swung into action after a case relating to an employee and his son, who were sent, on deputation, to a department during last months of the Akali government. The duo were later allegedly found involved in a corruption case.

With father-son found involved in the corruption case, the Congress government also wants to know the intention of the Akali government for sending the father and his son to same department on deputation.
