SAD-BJP government purchased costly health equipment, alleges Brahm Mohindra

Patiala : Punjab Health Minister, Brahm Mohindra made a scathing attack against SAD-BJP government by stating they preferred to set up private hospitals in the state keeping in view the interests of rich people and totally ignored basic medical facilities for poor people.

He made such an allegation while attending a function being organized by his supporters on Patiala-Bhadson road in his assembly segment area’s ward Number 3.

The Minister said that due to pro-rich policies being followed by Parkash Singh Badal led government medical facilities went out of the reach of poor people.

Mohindra added that in last two years the previous regime collected heavy commission’s as purchased costly medical machinery and equipments for state hospitals and medical colleges.

To prove his point he stated that a large number of such machinery and equipments are still lying fully packed and without any utilization.

The Minister sharing his experience of the cabinet formation by CM, Captain Amarinder Singh said that the latter told him that he will give me less important department but he was stunned when he was given the most important Department of Health and Medical education and research.

The Minister said that Congress Government is fully committed to serve the poor and needy people of the state in a better way.
