CM asks BFUHS to conduct exams for GS students

Chandigarh:Taking note of an ongoing court case regarding the Gian Sagar Medical College, Banur, the Chief minister Amrinder Singh said that since the case could take a long time to be resolved, it was necessary to find ways and means of compensating the students for the loss of time.
He suggested special classes to prepare the students to take exams and move to the next year.
Amarinder asked the Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) to hold a special exam for these students.
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has decided to conduct special exams for about 1,500 students of various batches of Gian Sagar Medical College, Banur, as the academic and practical studies of these students was affected in the past six months after financial crises hit the college.
After a meeting with the Chief Minister and Health Minister, the Department of Medical Education and Research (DMER) and BFUHS on Wednesday decided to conduct special exams for the affected students after making good the loss of their academic activities.
