CHANDIGARH: Punjab tourism and cultural affairs minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday said there were ample places of cultural importance in the state which deserve to be included among the ‘World Heritage Site’, besides some other landmarks which fall under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Sidhu, who chaired a meeting of officials of tourism and culture affairs department, said UNESCO will be approached after coordinating with the ASI to get such places included. He directed officials to maintain the original look of landmarks, warning that anybody tampering with these places won’t be spared.
