Ex-IRS officer V K Garg appointed Advisor (Financial Resources) to CM

Chandigarh : Retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer V K Garg has been appointed Advisor (Financial Resources) to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh with immediate effect.

A formal order from the office of Punjab Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh was issued in this regard on Friday.

A distinguished former IRS (Customs and Central Excise) officer with nearly 30 years with Union Government, Garg has extensive exposure to policy formulation at the apex level and implementation in the areas of indirect taxes and international trade and has been engaged as top advisor on Indirect taxes with leading corporates for the last four years.
