‘HAR GHAR ROZGAR’: GOVT TO ORGANISE JOB FESTS

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government has decided to organise job fests to provide employment to the youth, said technical education minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
These job fests will be held at various colleges in tehsils and districts under the government’s “Har Ghar Rozgar” mission, a flagship scheme announced by the Captain Amarinder Singh for empowering the youth in Punjab, collaboration with different companies and non-governmental organisations, he said.
The first job fest will be held on June 6 at Aryans Group of Colleges in Rajpura.
Apart from providing quality education, it is every institute’s responsibility to ensure that students develop proper skills so that they get good jobs, said the minister after a meeting with representatives of private technical education institutes.
