Govt ready to hand over pastor murder case to CBI: Jakhar

Ludhiana : On backfoot over law and order situation, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Sunil Jakhar on Wednesday visited the family of deceased PASTOR Sultan Masih in Salem Tabri area. He was accompanied by MLAs and local congress leadership.
Jakhar said that the government is ready to handover the case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or some other National Agency if required. Congress president said that Punjab Police is efficient to crack the case and if they will find some foreign hand or require help of any agency the Congress government will take no time to handover the case to central agency.
Jakhar said that he has came to meet the family of deceased pastor Sultan Masih on the behalf of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that the Congress party and government is standing rock solid with the family of deceased and Christian community.
When asked about the unsolved previous cases of murder of Shiv Sena leader, Dera Sacha Sauda followers, RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja, Sunil Jakhar said that CBI is investigating the matter and this case would be handed over to central agency is required. Commenting on the GST, Jakhar said that CM Captain Amarinder Singh will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the issues of farmers, industrialists, traders over GST. However, Jakhar remained mum over the proposal of professional taxes being imposed by State government. MLA Surinder Dawar, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Sanjay Talwar, district Congress president Gurpreet Gogi, Youth Congress president Rajiv Raja besides several others were present.
Memorandum given to SSP regarding
Jagraon: A few days back, a murder took place in the city where pastor Sultan maseeh was shot dead on the campus of his church. The entire city is filled with anger and appealed to arrest the murderers soon as possible and take strict actions against them. BJP also submitted a memorandum to SSP in which they have stated that the murderers of the pastor be caught soon or the party will hold protest against this. They also promised to give all kind of support to the police and administration. SSP Surjit singh also ensured them that the accused will be caught soon. He also said that the police will ensure that there are no more attacks on the Christiancommunity. At this occasion, Johnson maseeh, Daniel, bakhsheesh masih, pastor mintu, raja verma, manjeet singh rubi and others were present.
