KAPURTHALA: Blaming the previous SAD-BJP government for the fiscal mess in Punjab, power minister Rana Gurjit Singh on Saturday said chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh is trying his best to bring a turnaround in the state economy.

Interacting with mediapersons on the sidelines of a function to launch two mobile transformer vans here, the minister said Amarinder was chalking out a comprehensive strategy for giving a new direction to the state.

Slamming the SAD-BJP government, he said, “This corrupt regime had derailed the development of the state and pushed it back on all fronts.” He added, “Our government will revive the lost glory of the state with development-oriented policies.”
