‘New’ fire tender breaks down after launch
Chandigarh : Two of the 11 fire tenders launched on Wednesday were already in bad condition. It was learnt that the new tenders had created jam-like situation on the road in Sector 32. The officials somehow managed to push one of the vehicles to a safe place, while the other refused to budge. This gave rise to speculations that it was a case of old wine in new bottle as old vehicles were being refurbished and presented as new vehicles.
Numerous attempts to reach Local Bodies Department officials proved to be unsuccessful.
