Sunam : “The legacy bestowed by the martyrs who sacrificed their lives at the altar of freedom can never be forgotten was proved by vast crowd gathered on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh,” stated Punjab Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot on Monday.

Dharamsot exhorted the youth to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of Shaheed Udham Singh and other martyrs and take a pledge for eradication of drugs and other social evils from society. Lashing out at SAD-BJP dispensation, Dharamsot said that the tall promises made by the previous government regarding construction of museum at Sunam in the memory of Shaheed Udham Singh proved to be hollow. “SAD only used the names of the martyrs for political gains and cheated the people by making a false commitment about constructing a memorial of Shaheed Udham Singh at a cost of Rs 12 crores in 4 acre area.
